Visitor Operations Manager
I have recently been made redundant from my role as Senior Visitor Experience Officer, working for The National Trust. I gained a wide variety of skills in this role as I was based at a small property where I oversaw many different departments. This has equipped me with experience of sales techniques (both for membership and retail), people management skills (both of staff and volunteers), an awareness of health and safety through my role as duty manager, and a portfolio of creative work featuring house displays, interpretation and children's trails. In these uncertain times, I am looking for opportunities in any of the areas listed above, as well as writing, proofreading and research - of which I have previous experience.

Bookings Team Member -York Minster
Enthusiastic team member with a passion for York and tourism seeking to serve in a role which makes good use of communication abilities and knowledge of this fantastic city of York. Recent administrative experience at York Hospital handling on average 30 telephone queries per day from parents, schools and NHS organizations. Total of 10 years experience encompassing healthcare, telecommunications and tourism. I now seek a part time role where I can share my passion for York's cultural heritage with schools, members of the UK public and visitors from abroad.
Having lived and worked in China, Egypt and France I am comfortable working within an international context and highlighting the unique attributes of British culture. Moreover, my extensive administrative experience enables me to prioritize, work to deadlines and within budget and to shared objectives. Creative Industries Strategy Development Consultant
I am a creative, proactive and resourceful Producer/Director with 25 years’ experience in international broadcast television production. This includes creating TV content, launching and developing channels, directing live TV, managing budgets and mentoring talent.
I have a passion for all media, the ability to implement ideas and an efficient, flexible approach to work.
After 20 years living abroad, I returned to the UK in 2016 and I am currently based in my home town of York, working under my company name of VIDAVEO (‘I See Life’), producing Creative, Educational and Corporate films.
With considerable experience in Live, Recorded, Studio and Location productions, I am familiar with a wide spectrum of video production and I am confident working with creative teams, marketing departments and clients. I can take charge of any assignment, from taking a brief, developing an appropriate production process, right through to post-production and delivering the product in whatever format is required.
I have worked as Senior Producer for a wide range of companies, including Discovery Europe, Disney Italia and the BBC. I also worked as a freelance Producer for Sky Italia during their launch period and have independently produced programmes for Sky Vivo, Discovery Italia and Paramount Comedy Italia.

Events and Communications Officer
I have built my career so far across a range of project management and administration as well as internal communications experience in the educational, transport, not for profit and public sectors. Most recently, I have been working in training and events for higher education teaching providers. I am currently looking for permanent opportunities where I can build on my existing organisational, planning and project management skills. I am especially interested in opportunities in the marketing, communications and heritage sectors.
My name is Hamish Davison. I come from Bridlington but caught the travel bug early on. After graduating I looked at my options and decided to TEFL in Spain. This was originally to learn Spanish. I met my now fiancee online while in Spain, and uprooted my life once more and moved to the Netherlands. Her plan was to do a masters for a year somewhere abroad, and so I needed to find work which I could take with me. This is how I found Upwork. I have been freelancing very successfully on Upwork for the last 2 years now. At first, I was just doing content writing, but I soon discovered Moz, and have since mastered how to create my own briefs, keywords lists, keyword strategies, content strategies, as well as implementing them. I could only stay in California, where my fiancee chose eventually, for 3 months at a time so now I find myself back at home, thirsting for some work to get my teeth stuck into. My plan is to move to York as soon as I have a position, which I have the funds for.
