I am a very outgoing, self-driven person, who is able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently. I would consider myself to be a reliable and punctual individual who uses initiative to meet and resolve challenges. Although been a quick worker, I strive to finish all my challenges to a very pleasing standard. I am keen to work in this sector of the job industry as I feel I meet the essential criteria needed to fulfill this role to a high standard. Additionally as an Army Cadet for a prolonged period of time this built up my confidence a lot, especially being with people you’ve never met and having to adapt to them and your surroundings quickly was very positive. I was often with small groups and sometimes in charge of the said small groups in the field, furthermore there was ALWAYS an emphasis on teamwork in the Army Cadet Force.

I am a creative, proactive and resourceful Producer/Director with 25 years’ experience in international broadcast television production. This includes creating TV content, launching and developing channels, directing live TV, managing budgets and mentoring talent.
I have a passion for all media, the ability to implement ideas and an efficient, flexible approach to work.
After 20 years living abroad, I returned to the UK in 2016 and I am currently based in my home town of York, working under my company name of VIDAVEO (‘I See Life’), producing Creative, Educational and Corporate films.
With considerable experience in Live, Recorded, Studio and Location productions, I am familiar with a wide spectrum of video production and I am confident working with creative teams, marketing departments and clients. I can take charge of any assignment, from taking a brief, developing an appropriate production process, right through to post-production and delivering the product in whatever format is required.
I have worked as Senior Producer for a wide range of companies, including Discovery Europe, Disney Italia and the BBC. My name is Hamish Davison. I come from Bridlington but caught the travel bug early on. After graduating I looked at my options and decided to TEFL in Spain. This was originally to learn Spanish. I met my now fiancee online while in Spain, and uprooted my life once more and moved to the Netherlands. Her plan was to do a masters for a year somewhere abroad, and so I needed to find work which I could take with me. This is how I found Upwork. I have been freelancing very successfully on Upwork for the last 2 years now. At first, I was just doing content writing, but I soon discovered Moz, and have since mastered how to create my own briefs, keywords lists, keyword strategies, content strategies, as well as implementing them. I could only stay in California, where my fiancee chose eventually, for 3 months at a time so now I find myself back at home, thirsting for some work to get my teeth stuck into. My plan is to move to York as soon as I have a position, which I have the funds for.
Travel Sales Advisor
Recent graduate of York St John University Business School with a class I, BA International Tourism and Hospitality management. French native from the Caribbean, I can speak French, English and Japanese. I spent four months in Japan to study about the culture, language and hospitality of this beautiful archipel.
Also, I spent three wonderful years in York as a student and just fell in love with the city. I like being a tourist wherever I go to explore the local community and learn more about the history and cultures. I have been to many places in the United Kingdom as well, like Scarborough, Whitby, Pickering, the Yorkshire Moors, Harrogate, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham Liverpool, London, Blackpool for a start and expect to travel more.
The world is vast and mysterious, I am excited to explore it on a culinary trip. That is my dream. I am enthusiastic about sharing my experience and take on new challenges.
