I am currently studying Business Management BA at Northumbria University having just finished my first year with a 2.1 going onto 2nd year in September. I’m a confident people person who is willing to learn. I have experience working in stressful situations and working under pressure and I’ve got experience working in a team and leading a team. I would like to face new experiences and do the tasks with creativity, and improvement.
I worked for McDonald’s for 2 and a half. In that time I got experience working in difficult situations which needed creative problem-solving. This including working in stressful situations. This also gave me experience in communicating with other staff members, management and customers clearly. I also took on other responsibility when management needed me too – this included training new staff members on their first shifts.
During my last year of Secondary School, I did a yearlong work experience with United Response. In this time I trained people with severe learning difficulty to work in a kitchen. This was done by making food for a café in the council building and for events. This gave me experience in being patience in difficult situations and leadership skills. This also helped with my communication skills as many of the workers struggled to communicate.
During School, I worked helped set up a Youth Group in my home village of Copmanthorpe where I worked as the Youth Leader. My role was too set up and help plan the weekly meetings with the committee. This gave me experience in planning and leadership. In College, I volunteered with YoYo working to run an after-school club called ‘kids rocks' This was for primary school children. This gave me experience working with Kids and in loud situations.
