Recent graduate of York St John University Business School with a class I, BA International Tourism and Hospitality management. French native from the Caribbean, I can speak French, English and Japanese. I spent four months in Japan to study about the culture, language and hospitality of this beautiful archipel.
Also, I spent three wonderful years in York as a student and just fell in love with the city. I like being a tourist wherever I go to explore the local community and learn more about the history and cultures. I have been to many places in the United Kingdom as well, like Scarborough, Whitby, Pickering, the Yorkshire Moors, Harrogate, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham Liverpool, London, Blackpool for a start and expect to travel more.
The world is vast and mysterious, I am excited to explore it on a culinary trip. That is my dream. I am enthusiastic about sharing my experience and take on new challenges.
Therefore, I would like to join a team of motivated individual to sell the best holiday experience to customers. I hope to grow as an individual and as part of the One to One family.
As a student ambassador, I was representing the university during external events, and assisted the recruitment team in their missions. I worked during Open Days and Visit Days, where I talked to prospective students and their families about student life, including my own experiences. Then, I led group activities with younger children to developp their understanding of what is university in programms such as, Green Apple or Aspiration Day. I also, helped the marketing team in their promotion campaigns by adding my international student point of view.
This job teached me how to be flexible at all time, adapt to the situation and people as they are all different, to count on the support of my colleagues as well as being independant. The experiences were so rich and diverse that I cannot enumerate all of thm in a brief resume.
Pylones is a gift shop where there are coloured and unusual items. My job was to present the item and its funny features. Replenishment and cleaning were part of my duty as well as check out. As a professional working in York, it was expected to me to be a tourist guide as well. I had to direct people and advise them about the best places in York.
In this French cuisine restaurant located in Nottingham, King Street, customers search for the French homemade cuisine and atmosphere. My duty were to serve delicious meals, discuss in French to guest who want to practice, set the tables for regular and festive venues and check out.
