Job Description

As a Reservations team member you will be a vital part of the day to day operation of the business. You will be responsible for securing the bookings and events incoming daily to ensure that conversion rates and productivity is always achieved. You will be outgoing and approachable, yet professional. You will be comfortable and confident when dealing with customers and have a strong knowledge of the product and be able to advise guests and maximise sales on each booking.

Good organisational and communication skills, computer literate and have a strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

-Work with the management team to ensure the booking procedure is followed and works flawlessly.

-Communicate with all floor staff on any booking notes/allergy requirements by slip and verbally.

-Taking bookings online (Design my night), over the telephone and in person.

-Responding to the two email inboxes for Impossible York and diverting appropriately to management when needed.

-Taking deposits & prepayments, chasing unconfirmed and unsecured reservations.

-Greeting and seating guests.

-Co-ordinate and deliver IN house events.

-Ensure a daily email is sent to the General Manager with full breakdown of tasks completed that day.

-Putting deposits paid onto our till system.

-Send any pre-orders to the Bar manager/Chef.

-Pre shift with management am and pm - briefing dietary/vips/special booking notes.

-Work closely with management on shift to communicate spikes in bookings on shift and communicate VIPs.

-Help to establish and VIP database and make special touches to the customer journey to ensure a memorable experience.

-Establish meaningful and lucrative relationships with clients to ensure repeat business

-Ensure that the booking system runs seamlessly within the venue.

-Liaise with the Business Development team, to help drive the business forward.

-Create new working relationships weekly and contacts via linked in and reaching out to generate outbound opportunities for Impossible.

-Assist in the creation and successful running and promotion of events.

-Assist in selling tables as well as creating larger events on quieter days.

-Encourage guests to give us a feedback on Trip advisor/google reviews to drive the business forward.
