Sous Chef Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef to join our team.

The York Pavilion is a privately-owned hotel based in Fulford, just two miles from York’s historic City centre. This characterful hotel boasts a variety of individually styled bedrooms, suites, apartments, private dining rooms and restaurant, (please see for more details).Weddings are hosted most weeks, along with conferences, training events, christenings and all other celebrations.

We are looking for a Chef with at least 5 years’ experience within the industry, to join our kitchen brigade. We pride ourselves on creating freshly produced English & Continental cuisine. This role would suit a current Sous Chef or strong Chef De Partie who is looking for their next step, you would need to demonstrate high standards and that you are used to working in a busy kitchen environment who is looking for more freedom within the kitchen to showcase their abilities. The kitchen serves food from 7am through to 9:30pm and so having your own transport would be desirable. Banqueting experience is essential as well as a good understanding of restaurant service.

The York Pavilion Hotel has been privately owned and operated since 1988. Each bedroom, function room and all the public areas have been sympathetically designed by the Proprietors, in keeping with the Georgian roots of the property. Once the home of famous composer John Barry, there is so much to love and learn about this unique and charming hotel.
