The Parisi is a unique place to visit or work in, a tiny boutique hotel, centrally located in the beautiful ancient northern city of York. The hotel has been recognised as one of the best boutique hotels in Great Britain by the Telegraph and regularly features in ‘best of York’ lists by the Telegraph, Independent and Sunday Times Travel Magazine. We are looking for someone to be responsible for breakfast waiting, housekeeping, cooking and some reception duties. Full training will be provided so experience is not necessary, many of our hotel assistants had not worked in a chef role before. The successful candidate will be energetic, reliable and demonstrate a cheerful can-do attitude.
We are a small team, all flexible and dedicated to achieving the highest standards of experience for our guests. Everyone working here is multi-talented and not afraid to roll their sleeves up. Many of our staff have developed skills while working here that they did not imagine they ever would!
This is a truly diverse role, where you will have the opportunity to learn about and become competent in a number of areas within a successful small hotel. This is an opportunity to learn many transferable skills and would be a great first step into hotel management and a number of other industries, for a hardworking candidate.
For the permanent role, we aim to recruit for the long term and ask applicants only to apply if they are able to commit to at least 18 months with the business in order to provide continuity for the team and our guests. For the temporary role we would be offering a rolling 4 weekly contract.

The role is full time and permanent, working an average of 40 hours per week over 5 days out of 7. Normally shifts will be 8 hours, falling between 7am and 5pm but you must be able to work other shifts on occasion if required. Shifts will vary and will include weekends and half an hour paid break.
