We are looking for a Sommelier to join our team here at The Black Swan.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in high-quality restaurants. They will have ideally completed their Level 3 WSET, but if knowledge can be proven then this isn't a must. A real passion and interest in food, as well as wine, is integral. We need someone who can guide our Front of House with their wine knowledge, but also gain a strong relationship with the chefs to create perfect pairings for new dishes.

Owned and run by The Banks Family, who have lived and farmed around Oldstead for many generations; The Black Swan is very much their creation, with Tommy Banks heading the kitchen and his brother James running the front-of-house.
Chef, Tommy Banks’ talent is in itself truly remarkable. He was Britain’s youngest Michelin-starred chef in 2013 and won Great British Menu in 2016 and 2017. The Michelin-starred Black Swan was awarded The Best Restaurant in the UK 2018 by The Food and Travel Magazine and the ‘Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the World’ by TripAdvisor, in 2017.
