Goodramgate Apartments is a small, self-catering apartment business which has been open since 2004. Based in an ideal location right next to Monkbar, we pride ourselves on our customer service, our 170 year old Grade II listed apartments, and our competitive prices.

Goodramgate currently comprises of 15 boutique-style apartments plus Bennett House; a holiday home located between the Ouse and Clifford’s Tower, which is perfect for large groups of up to 16 people, families and hen parties.

We currently employ 13 staff, including a dedicated housekeeping and maintenance team.

We have a broad target market, consisting of leisure and corporate guests, who are searching for that perfect character property with a central location.

We have a great opportunity for a part-time receptionist/housekeeping supervisor to join our team at Goodramgate Apartments. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and friendly person who enjoys working with the public and as part of a team. You will arrange reservations, welcome guests in, process payments and generally attend to our guests needs to ensure they have a great stay. Ideally you will have hotel experience, but personality and aptitude are more important, as we will provide full training. Experience we are looking for: To have worked in a hotel or with people in a customer related role. Exceptional timekeeping and reliability. Excellent standards of personal presentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner. To be able to work as part of team or alone. Good organisational skills, able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Good Administrative skills and IT literacy and preferably experience using a Property Management system.   The Job: To be familiar with the days business, including arrivals, departures and special requests. To have a good understanding of the guests’ requirements when they are checking in or out. Ensure all customer enquiries and requests for bookings are dealt with promptly, courteously and efficiently. Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints. To communicate well over the phone, taking reservations and answering guest queries. To liaise with the Housekeeping Manager and cleaning staff to ensure rooms are ready for guests. Manage the housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeping manager. Assist and supervise members of the housekeeping team to ensure high standards are met. Check guest rooms to ensure that they have been cleaned and serviced to the required standard. To work well as part of a team and be willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Starting Salary : £9 per hour Approximate hours: 9-6pm Must be flexible, able to work Sundays and alternate Saturdays with an additional day in the week. We are an expanding company so extra hours may be available in the future. Flexible to cover for holidays and sickness Part-time permanent contract with 3 months probationary period. Pay and working hours to be reviewed after probation.
